KALAMKARI

Kalamkari is a traditional Indian textile art form that involves hand-painting or block-printing designs onto fabric. The term "Kalamkari" means "pen work" in Sanskrit and refers to the use of a pen-like tool (kalam) to hand-draw intricate designs on the fabric. This technique is used to create a variety of motifs, including floral, mythical creatures, and scenes from Hindu mythology. Kalamkari fabrics are often used in clothing, home décor, and other decorative items and are known for their rich colors and intricate patterns.
